(Winter programs / November thru March)

ACADEMIC TRAINING
Minimum age by class start date is 15 yrs. (10 yrs. for Jr.)
Successful completion of your included home study materials is required. A quick review will conclude academic training.

PADI Open Water Diver eLearner (Digital Home Study)

POOL TRAINING:
Pool training is where skills like underwater breathing, clearing water from your mask, how to swim underwater with scuba gear are taught & practiced. You will need to complete a watermanship assessment. Participants may be required to meet a minimum height requirement. Completion of a medical questionnaire is required before pool training. (A copy of the Medical can be found on the discoverdiving.com/classes page)
Pool schedule options: Weekend mornings or weeknights - 2 or 3 dates are usually all that’s needed.

MATERIALS REQUIRED for POOL TRAINING:
Travel Diver: Mask, Snorkel, Fins. (Starting cost approx. $200)
Local Diver: Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Boots, Gloves. (Starting cost approx. $375)
We believe proper fitting equipment contributes to a successful experience. Here at Discover Diving, we have years of experience and can offer our guidance with the selection and fitting of your equipment. When purchased with us, you will receive a student discount and free pool make-up sessions if your new gear does not perform as needed.
After completion of your Academic & Pool program a referral certificate can be given.
*All group classes will be limited in size from 4 to 6 students.

OCEAN TRAINING:
If you would like to continue your training in New England Waters, you can choose one of two options:
Group open water dives: add $125pp + Rentals (For 12yrs and older)

Private open water dives: add $250pp + Rentals (For 10yrs and older)

This consists of 4 ocean dives conducted over 2 days (Saturday & Sunday, 7am to 12pm), where you will perform the skills learned in the pool in the actual diving environment. Successfully completing these dives, you will be a certified open water diver. These local dives will start in April.

MATERIALS REQUIRED for OCEAN TRAINING:
BCD, Regulator, Alternate air, Console w/computer, 2 tanks, Weights, Wetsuit & Hood.
(Rental if needed is $180 for 2 consecutive days, 1 weekend.)
Rental wetsuit sizing if available is (XS 5’4”-120lbs) thru (3XL 6’4”-250lbs)
